Lincoln Law School received accreditation from the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California in 1978.

The law school has never applied for accreditation by the American Bar Association. The ABA only accredits law schools that have a full-time program. Lincoln has always been a part-time evening law school since its beginning, established to fill the needs of working professionals and others who prefer an evening program.

Lincoln Law School is currently in the process of attaining WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) accreditation. The School has achieved the "Eligiblility" standing and is continuing the process towards "Initial Accreditation."
